FireFree ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our financial freedom tracking application.
Information We Collect
- Account information: email address and password (hashed by our authentication provider)
- Usage data: financial goals, savings, investments, and debts you choose to track (stored solely for your personal use — we do not access, analyze, or sell this data)
- Technical data: device type, browser, IP address, and page interactions (via analytics and error monitoring)
How We Use Your Data
- Provide and maintain our services
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features
- Communicate important updates and changes
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
Third-Party Authentication
In addition to email and password, we offer sign-in through the following third-party provider for your convenience:
- Google Sign-In: We receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google
We only use this information to create and manage your account. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other data from these providers.
Service Providers & Data Sharing
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate FireFree. These providers process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy policies:
- Supabase: hosts our database and handles authentication (account email, encrypted credentials, and your tracked financial data)
- RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and billing (subscription status and a pseudonymous user ID; we do not store your full payment card details)
- PostHog: collects product analytics to help us understand how features are used
- Sentry: collects error and performance diagnostics to help us fix bugs
- We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights
Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your data. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.
Children's Privacy
FireFree is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time through your account settings.
